Cosmos shuffled uncomfortably on the floor next to the bed. He picked at the ends of his fingers where his claws should be. They had be routinely trimmed down to a dull shape, likely a precaution from the no-furs. It felt... weird to have them this dull and round, but wasn't much he could do about it.

His mind drifted back to the bear. Images of that grotesque sight caused a wave of nausea, but he was getting used to those by now. What had that weird tailed man, Proctor, done to them? Something completely unnatural and cruel. An ember of anger about the bear's condition burned in the back of his mind, but Cosmos dosed it with thoughts of the potential consequences of lashing out about it.

He picked at the fur and skin around the nails of one of his fingers, wondering about what that bear's name was. At least then, he could say a short prayer for him like the ones the Kin of the Bear's had taught him.

Cosmos: [ I guess I could just say one without knowing his name, it'll still reach him right? Yeah, it couldn't hurt to do one ]

He closed his eyes and recited a small prayer for the bear's spirit to be reunited with whatever family or friends they may have had. Hopefully, their spirit would be able to find peace away from this horrific place. After a few moments, he opened his eyes and stared up at the blank ceiling.

Comsos: [ I wonder if that actually did anything to help... ] *he hoped that it did*

A sound from the door caused him to slightly jump as the opened, revealing an all too familiar figure standing there.

Ezer: *unimpressed look as if Cosmos had done something to offend him* Oh good, you're awake. Stand up.

Cosmos stood up where he was, not having the energy to argue. He took a few steps towards Ezer and away from the bed, so they were about 6 or 7 feet apart.

At that moment, Cosmos realized that someone else had entered the room with Ezer. Someone that he hadn't seen before.

This new person was much taller than Ezer, but not as tall as Proctor was. He had a similar complexion to Ezer, who had a golden brown skin tone, but his seemed to be more medium or light brown skin tone.

A dark red-brown tail flicked behind his back. It looked to be a bit thicker than Proctor's tail, which was more thin but was still thick enough to where it looked like it could hold objects, though this one also ended in what looked like a fur tuft, which also seemed thicker than the one at the end of Proctor's tail.

Looking up, he saw a similar dark red-brown hair that appeared to be fluffy with how it framed the person's face and puffed outwards. Though, that wasn't what caught Cosmos's attention. This person has a pair of dark-colored horns, two on each side that pointed up and slightly inwards. That made four horns in total, with the ones that were closer to the front appearing to be slightly smaller than the ones in the back.

Cosmos couldn't remember any of the other no-furs in this place having horns like that. Not even Proctor had a set of horns like that. So, why did this one has horns?

It wasn’t just horns, this one had two dark mandibles that were slightly hidden by his hair, extending out from below where his ears seemed to be, resting against the sides of his face.

His clothes were completely different too. It was had two symmetrical gold-orange streaks going from the neck down the shoulders. In fact, it seemed like his whole neck was covered up to where it met his head. At the very center of his chest was a gold-orange four-pointed star. At the sides, there was a pair of black streaks that points up and then downwards. There were two of them on each side, with the one closer to the front of the chest was slightly larger than the one below it. If he had to describe them, he’d say that they looked kind of like ribs. A majority of his outfit was an urbane brown color mixed with a medium red color around his waist. The parts of the outfit covering his forearms, hands, and legs were a black color, with no visible skin exposed, and his hands even looked like they had claws at the ends of them.

Ezer seemed to follow Cosmos's gaze of looking at the Paragon and promptly stepped between them.

Ezer: *expression darkens, a smile, or a sneer, full of sharp teeth replacing the usual smug one* Listen, little beast. If you even think of hurting our Paragon. *one of his arms lit up with blue energy that moved down to form a transparent sword-like structure around his hand* It won't end well for you.

The Paragon: *seemingly unfazed by the fact that Ezer just threatened Cosmos in front of him* Ezer?

Ezer: *his expression morphed to something resembling respect and submission as he turned to acknowledge the other figure* Yes, my Paragon?

The Paragon: *polite smile* Could you wait outside? I wanted to have a private talk with our guest here.

Ezer: *the holographic construct retreated back up until it was no longer visible, as if it had never been there* Yes, of course.

Ezer gave Cosmos one last look of "do anything to him and I'll make you pay" before exiting the room, leaving Cosmos and the Paragon alone.

The Paragon: *looks at Cosmos with his dull, yet piercing blue eyes* *his polite smile remained, but it just looked unnerving to Cosmos*

Cosmos: *nervously curls his tail around to fidget with its fur* *flattening his ears* *his fur felt like it was standing on end* *kept his gaze on the Paragon, not daring to look away*

After a few moments of silence, the Paragon hummed and a small smile stretched across his face, not showing any teeth.

The Paragon: *puts his hands on his hips* So, what they said was true. You really aren't all that threatening.

Cosmos: *was not expecting that kind of response* *tilts his head slightly in confusion* [ ....Threatening? ]

The Paragon: *runs a hand through his hair* I don't know why Proctor was so worried. You clearly aren't much of a threat. You haven't even moved from that one spot this whole time! *shakes his head* He's such a worrier.

Before Cosmos could even blink, the Paragon was right in front of him, walking around him like some kind of curious animal. It made their height difference and size difference all the more apparent. Uneasiness settled in his stomach as he saw just how small he was compared to this person. It wasn't the same as how Proctor towered him, but this no-fur was still much bigger than him.

The Paragon: *circles around Cosmos, curiously analyzing and looking over his body like he was some excited child inspecting a new toy* And you’re so small! I was wondering about the height differences between you and the other types. I’m assuming it’s a biologically evolved trait that the three types seem to have varying heights, but the bears are huge compared to the you foxes! And so are the wolves. I guess evolution didn’t give you guys any tall genes. And you’re so fluffy! *he gently patted a section of Cosmos’s hair, stretching out a strand of his hair to analyze the natural curl of it, twirling it gently between the tips of his fingers, catching it on the ends of his claws*

Cosmos: *stops himself from flinching away and keeps still as the Paragon messes with his hair* *he didn’t want to know what would happen if he somehow upset this person*

The Paragon: The bears and the wolves were fluffy too, but their fur and hair seems to have subtle differences from the foxes and each other. And it's so curly. The other ones had curly hair too. Is that a constant shared trait for all foxes? How do you even keep it clean out there in the wilds? Do you lick yourselves clean or do you take bathes? If you do take bathes, do you take them in the rivers? Aren't you worried about catching parasites from the water? Or do you have a resistance to them? Also, do you have anything that you put in your hair like shampoo or conditioner or do you just use water? I'd love to learn about what kind of hair routines you may have.

Before Cosmos could even process all the words being thrown his way, the Paragon was in his face once again. Not even Ezer got this up close to his face.

The Paragon: And your spots! I’ve never seen someone with this trait before. Is it a rare genetic trait for foxes similar to how heterochromia is rare for humans? Wait, can your species have heterochromia? I haven't seen any of that in any of our other specimen files. Oh, and your spots are so cute. They kind of seem to be like freckles. Do you know what freckles are? I used to have a bunch of them, but I don’t really them anymore, but I know several people who do though. I know that Jimena has a bunch of them. Maybe I can introduce you two at some point. I’m sure she’d like to meet you. She always seems to love meeting new people.

Cosmos didn’t know what freckles were supposed to be or who this Jimena person was. He assumed that “freckles” were some kind of pattern of spots that no-furs could have. Whoever this “Jimena” was must be an associate of some kind, possibly someone who worked for him directly like how the wolves worked for Castor. Though, he most definitely didn’t want to meet her.

The Paragon: *snaps his fingers as if he had forgotten something* Oh, where are my manners? Here I am talking your ears off and I haven't even introduced myself.

The Paragon gave Cosmos what looked like a genuine smile. One that showed no teeth and looked as if it had been practiced to perfection.

The Paragon: I'm Mortimer, but you can call me Mo if you'd like.

Ezer: *waiting outside* [ I hope that that beast isn't trying anything, Proctor would flay me alive if I let anything happen to our Paragon after I was asked to accompany him... but I was following a direct order from my Paragon, so I can't really be blamed too much right? ]

Bruce tries to adopt Ellie, who is immediately against it. She keeps throwing him off her trail and he keeps tracking her down. She's honestly concerned, and normally she would handle her problems by herself- but this is Batman.

So when Bruce gets a little too close and Ellie is just so tired... she calls for Danny.

"Mom!"

Cue college student, perpetually tired and overworked Danny "High King Phantom" Fenton appearing from the very shadows Batman normally does himself, seeing the situation and going off at this "clearly older man" chasing his daughter in the middle of the night.

Cue the most elaborate "stop trying to adopt my kid before I adopt yours" series of battles

Danny commits to the Bit a bit too hard...

So! For the first few weeks after his accident, whenever Danny would try to help the people of Amity Park, he would be treated as a Villain.

No matter if he had just defeated the Big Bad of the Week or saved a Cat from a tree, everybody in town only saw him as a Monster or Villain to he feared and hunted down. Danny was really getting sick of trying to get them on his side, until Sam made a suggestion.

"Why not just...play into it?" She said, barely looking up from painting her nails.

It was just an offhand suggestion, but it stuck with Danny. Why shouldn't he lean into it? The people of Amity Park already saw Ghosts as Evil, and they already assumed he was in cahoots with the Ghosts attacking the town. Why shouldn't he just...play into it?

So he does just that.

From that day on, whenever Phantom was spotted he would dramatically monologue about his Evil Plans, or claim that another Rogues attack on the City was his own act of terror.

Box Ghost destroys the towns Warehouses? It was on his orders.

Ember mind controls masses of Teenagers? All part of his Plans somehow.

Every Adult in Town is kidnapped by Young Blood? Danny gave them over to a friend as a Gift.

He crafts an identity for himself as the most Vile and Horrible Ghost that has ever attacked the City, using his own infamy to cement his legend even more firmly. The town only sees a Monsterous Villain, who has eveded capture near effortlessly for months on end, who constantly attacks their City and gets away with it.

Of course he still needs an excuse for how his plans keep getting stopped, and he gets it when his girlfriend Valerie becomes the Red Huntress. Before that, he just claimed infighting or the Fentons getting lucky, but Valerie becoming the Town's Hero meant he had a plausible excuse for how he kept getting "Foiled".

Val was suspicious, because she was not as involved as Phantom painted her to be, but in the end she had no proof of him faking his defeats. And she couldn't come up with any explanations for why he would do that in the first place. I mean, who would fake being a Supervillain? It had to he something else.

This did come back to bite him a while later, when the Justice League decided that enough was enough, and dispatched Justice League Dark to recruit Red Huntress and help Deal with him.

Coincidentally, that was the same day Pariah Dark attacked the Mortal Realm and sucked Amity Park into the Ghost Zone.

And honestly? Danny had spent over a Year proclaiming himself as a Villain who commanded Ghosts to attack the Human Realm, and he had heard about the Right of Conquest being Absolute in the Ghost Zone, so why not make it official? Why not overthrow the Ghost King, become the Ghost King, and cement his identity as a Villain while also forbidding Ghosts from entering the Human Realm without his permission?

He may have gotten a bit carried away and forgotten that the Villain thing was a disguise...but hey! He was still preventing Ghost Attacks! ...mostly. That's got to count for something right?

He may have let the Bit run a bit too far...

Courting Chaos (to Balance)

A KlarionxDanny brain worm that has spawned

Tim Drake, aka Red Robin gets kidnapped suddenly and very randomly by Klarion in the middle of a JL and others meeting.

Leaving with a

"I'LL RETURN HIM WHEN HES NO LONGER USEFUL JUSTICE LOSERS!"

And fire and chaos in his wake.

While the JL, and others scramble to figure out what Klarion has planned this time, Tim manages to break free of whatever Klarion had used to kidnap him only to find himself on a couch and Klarion nervously petting Teekl on his lap while also sitting in a chair across from him.

When Tim goes to demand to know why Klarion kidnapped him Klarion finally speaks.

"Okay, I wanna strike a deal. I won't bug you or your little Young Just US buddies if you help me ask someone out..."

"...What the fuck Klarion?" Was Tim's only response.

So it turns out, every so often the three main entities and actual factions of Order, Chaos, and Balance get together to well discuss things happening in certain Realms, worlds, and timelines. Basicly to touch base, see where everyone was at. Etc etc.

Order was Order. Chaos was Chaos.

Very simple.

Both could be bad. To much order caused restraint and could snuff out growth. To much Chaos could get out of hand and cause ruin.

Both could be good. Order help stabilizes worlds and builds their future. Chaos allowed creativity to roam and brought forth wonderful things.

And Balance.

Well Balance was the very scales that kept both sides in check. They were neutral grounds. The ones that normally oversaw the meetings as well. And despite their low numbers they held powerful entities that more than made up for it.

Balance did their best to keep things in check, sure they do have their own preference sometimes and allowed the scales to tip a tiny bit but always corrected it later if it tips to much.

It was at this meeting, a meeting even Klarion knew better than to do anything too chaotic, pranks were fine but nothing too much, and had been chatting with a newcomer to the side of Chaos (Danielle, call me Ellie, Phantom. She did some heroing on the side but liked causing chaos in her wake to do so, he liked her so far though.) When the bells for the side of Balance to appear announced them.

Ellie had smiled brightly and said her brother was coming with his mentor, turns out her brother was apart of the Balance group which meant that he was strong, strong enough to need a mentor.

He watched as the members of Balance walked, teleported, flew, and other means into the meeting halls. And then froze when his eyes caught sight of him.

Floating next to a blue skined being that was switching ages was a beautiful otherworldly person.

Snow white hair that wisped upwards oh so softly. Glowing green eyes that were cat-like with their piercing glance. A galaxy cloak hanged around his shoulders and seemed to shift with each movement. Star like freckles decorated his face and seemed to glow a soft bluish white. A crown made of ice and aurora lights floated above his head as well.

All in all Klarion couldn't keep his eyes off of the being at all. He nearly spat his water out when Ellie commented that was her brother Danny, or rather.

High King of the Infinite Realms, Daniel 'Danny' Phantom. The Great One. Defeater of the Tyrant King. The Halfa. The Peaceful End. The Balance of the Undead. (And his mentor was the Ghost of Time itself. THE very Keeper of Time, Kronos original form himself.)

Klarion honestly didn't know what to think or rather what emotions he was feeling when he spotted Danny, nor why his face felt so hot and red when the young man looked over at them and smiled. (He was smiling at Ellie but Klarion for some reason hoped it was for him as well)

It wasn't until halfway in the meeting when a rather ingenious prank that Klarion, Ellie, and a few others had set up went off... thing was it strong enough that it had hit Danny's side of the meeting and had hit him.

Now, again pranks were okay but only after the meetings. It was one of the few rules many, even those in Chaos, took seriously because once it was done and over they could go do their things. So for it to happen in the middle of a meeting means someone set their time on the prank wrong and add the fact it hit a person on the Balance side...

Yeah not good.

Only...

Only instead of getting angry, even Clockwork who was seated next to Danny was chuckling, Danny threw his head back and laughed about it. And his laugh... was very cute.

And before he knew it, Klarion had already fallen.

I choose to believe the only reason someone like Jamil happened to be present was because Kalim wanted him there (cuz otherwise he has no business being there).

Like, We’ve been TEASED with Ace’s brother, that I’m starting to think it’s just a reference to that Alice in Wonderland park character in Japan and nothing else….

Jack’s family, Ruggie’s grandma, Falena, Maleficia, Ms.Rosehearts, Just now Vil’s dad is in the picture which I am really happy but now I’m wondering about his mom, and so Deuce’s mom.

I mean, some HAVE a silhouette!! It could mean they do have a design in the making/ready to show. They could’ve shown us Falena in the Tamashina (hope I said that correctly) event, but didn’t (prolly to make Leona not so σ(▼□▼メ) and it’s understandable)

Anyhow, any idea/headcannon about this? Who do you want to see first?

I'm wondering if everyone might eventually get a travel event? like they've now introduced with Vil's that it doesn't have to be specifically hometowns, so that opens things up a lot! (especially if they have to figure out how to do three separate Coral Sea visits) (how would that even work otherwise)

but yeah, I hope everyone gets a chance! there's a lot of backstory characters I would LOVE to meet. :D :D :D though I do think some of them don't really suit the more light-hearted tone of the events (pretty sure you're right about that being why Falena wasn't in Tamashina-Mina, that would've just been. too much for Leona.) so like...we're probably not ever going to meet the Rosehearts. or Maleficia (although I maintain that this would be THE funniest possible way to introduce her outside of the main story, and actually I would love this a lot, can we please Twst) (I need to see her to put Malleus in a froofy little outfit and tell him what a handsome boy he is). but they've sprung surprises like Kifaji on us, and honestly anyone who shows up and tells embarrassing stories about characters' childhoods is good in my book!

characters off the top of my head who I most want to meet: literally any of the Zigvolts, Azul's mom, Ace's brother, Che'nya's grandfather (<- I think he would be a good one for Riddle) (please just any non-terrible adult in his life), any member of Rook's family because I need to see how they managed to produce him, and...really just whoever they can come up with for Silver.
